About Dr. Brandle
After serving in the US Air Force as a medical laboratory technician, he attended California State College, Stanislaus, and received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in biological sciences in 1978. He completed his Master of Science degree in chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1980, before earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, Davis, in 1985. He completed his three-year family medicine residency program at UC Davis Medical Center in 1988. Since then, he served as the Medical Director for several local urgent care centers, followed by several years as the Medical Director of a fifteen provider primary care clinic in Fair Oaks. In 1998, he started his own solo family medicine practice, Gold River Family Medicine.
He is on the staff of Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael. He has served on the Board of Directors for the California Academy of Family Physicians, the Board of Trustees for the California Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, and was the President of the Sacramento-El Dorado County Chapter of the California Academy of Family Physicians for many years. He is a national speaker on influenza and other vaccine-preventable infectious diseases.
Dr. Brandle has been married for 43 years and has three wonderful children and two terrific granddaughters. His interests include travel, hiking, golf, snorkeling, political science, shopping at farmers' markets, cooking, reading, and spending time with his family.
